To enroll in a 91ÁÔÆæ eLearning course, students can do the following:
- 91ÁÔÆæ students can select an eLearn course in MyBlueprint during course selection
- 91ÁÔÆæ students or out-of-board students registering through an Ontario eLearning Consortium (OeLC) member board can make an appointment with their guidance counselor to discuss registration
NOTE
The following will be considered in the discussion of registration in an eLearn course:
- The current grade of the student
- Whether the course is offered via eLearning and if space is available
- Presence of timetable conflicts
- Whether the course is a graduation requirement for the student
- The degree to which the student possesses the traits or habits of a successful eLearning student
- Extenuating circumstances as determined by the Guidance Counsellor and/or Vice Principal
In what grade(s) can a student take an eLearn course?
eLearning courses are predominantly geared towards students in grades 11 and 12, where there is more choice in electives. Students in grade 10 who demonstrate excellent Learning Skills as documented on their report cards, may also be considered candidates for eLearning courses in consultation with their Guidance Counsellor and/or Vice Principal. Currently, eLearning courses are not suggested for students in grade 9.
How will I know if I'm enrolled in an eLearning course?
Successful registration in an eLearning course will be confirmed via email from PRISM (the provincial eLearning registration system). Additionally, students should see the eLearning course on their final timetable, which will show as V + the course code.
Shortly before your course begins, you will receive communication to your School Board email account with login instructions and eLearn information. Please make sure you are able to access your School Board email account.
When do eLearning classes begin?
The start date of an eLearning course depends on whether a student is registered in an eLearn course hosted by 91ÁÔÆæ or another OeLC member school board.
91ÁÔÆæ eLearning classes begin one week after the start of the school semester. Please note this is not the same start date as regular in-school classes. This can be confirmed in the PRISM registration email received by the student and parent/guardian.
eLearn classes hosted by OeLC member school boards may have a different start date. Please note that this may be before or after 91ÁÔÆæ eLearn classes begin. Kindly confirm the start date on the PRISM registration email received by the student and parent/guardian.
